Sun's Out Shoulders Out

Hello guys, long time no see! Or if you are new to my blog, hello my name's Laura and I hope you enjoy!
I do have to start with a little admin in regards to for my absence, I've really been struggling with motivation over the past six months and this caused me to go a bit MIA on socials for two months. However, I am happy to say I am definitely feeling much more inspired and cannot wait to get back to it.

Dates & Denim

With less than a week to go until Valentines Day it's time to start planning. Whether you go on a date with a significant other or a mate-date, the outfit is essential. I met my boyfriend on Valentines and as cliche as it is, we always have a date on the 14th. Before then I never really had much time for Valentines Day, so I like to mix it up when we go out.  This look is all about contrast, there is something about looking particularly feminine for Valentines but, make it individual.

Studs & Kisses

I can't believe it's December, I swear it was summer like a week ago? However, this time of year does contain one of my favourite days: Black Friday. For some reason that one day always seems to extend to around a week full of discounts and deals. In true blogger style, I decided it was the perfect time to treat everything. Something I really want to expand on is casual wear, I spend most of my days living in jeans and basic tees, so thats exactly what I want to share with you all. My own take on simplistic style. This look is so badass. I love it, it's easy, it's quirky and a little rebellious. This look is something I would wear out to lunch, drinks or maybe a meeting. It's the perfect mixture of day-to-night.

X Jewellery Giveaway

I've teamed up with the lovelies at X Jewellery to promote their new campaign all about inspirational women who are everyday heroes. They've created a calendar for 2017 that contains an amazing woman and her story for each month. Honestly it's such a fab idea and I'm so pleased to be a part of it.

Some Kind Of Fashion

It doesn't seem like it was only a month ago when I was lying on a white beach in Jamaica. Ever since I've been back back home I've been struggling adapting to the autumnal ambush. For a good week while I had serious holiday blues I literally lived in sweats! I had no inspiration for the current season because I just refused to accept that summer was over. Anyway, I eventually had to pull myself out of my rut and force myself to remember that autumn is actually one of my favourite seasons.

I recently had someone ask me if I was a 'goth' because they had only ever seen me wearing dark clothes. Initially I was a little bemused by their question but then I couldn't help but laugh, everyone has a go-to palette and just because my happens to be black doesn't mean anything. Autumn is all about layering, textures and experimenting with new and old styles. This look is no different, highly influenced by the decorative 80's rock aesthetic.

White Sands

So as I'm writing this I'm sat on a balcony, overlooking Bloody Bay beach during a tropical storm. This is my second day in Jamaica and honestly I already understand why the locals greeted us by saying "welcome back home". There is something so friendly about island life, the people are amazing, the weather is beautiful and the lifestyle is something I really could get use to.

Threads Lashes Review

If I'm honest I don't wear false eyelashes daily, too much tinkering around but when I do I have to have a killer pair. That's why I was so excited when Threads sent me out three pairs of their fab lashes! All of Threads' lashes are handmade, which makes the details on the featherweight lashes perfect. Importantly the glue is included (a deal breaker if you ask me) and it's fragrance and Latex free. Initially, I was confused by the glue, you have to snap off the lid and the other side of the lid has a hole to reseal.
