Lookbook// Perfectly Preppy

Hello October!
It's officially Autumn and I won't try and stretch out summer any further I promise.
This post has been meaning to be up before now but I've been in and out of hospital for the past couple of days, I'm fine now if any of you are concerned. I unfortunately couldn't get out a contact lens and it the process damaged my cornea, it was a little bit embarrassing rocking up at A&E and announcing I can't get a contact lens out!

Moving on from my recent escapades this is my first lookbook I've done since being back in UK and back in York. Coming back from Greece to the English weather back in Cambridgeshire is bad enough but going straight back up north to York is awful weather wise! I had to swap bikinis and kimonos to thick tights and wooly jumpers - not that I am complaining I love autumn fashion, it's my favourite!

Autumn is the best excuse to start layering jumpers and coats, complain that you don't own warm enough clothing and so you just have to go shopping. Well that is my excuse anyway! I am so excited that the polo neck is back because as cute as they look and as long as they make your neck look, they are super warm.

This fifties prep look is so chic and tidy especially paired with my gorgeous notch split skirt from New Look Fashion, it's such a perfect houndstooth pattern with pink detail and it's perfectly paired with thick black tights (which are equally warm)! Also I am wearing my new Smoked Purple lipstick by Mac which I am obsessed with this season.

Another item I am still obsessed with is my amazing floppy fedora which seems to be
a perfect transitional piece into autumn. The thick material matches the rest of the
outfit and adds vintage vibe which I am loving this autumn/winter.

Finally I topped this outfit off with this lovely peachy shoes which are from unbelievably from Primark. I saw a girl's Instagram with these shoes and made it my mission to get them, in such haste to buy them once I discovered them I ended up buying them a size too big... However they fit almost perfectly and match the pink detail in the skirt making them on of my favourite autumn buys so far this year!
