Lookbook// Denim & Leather

This week I officially moved back to York for University and I honestly forgot how cold it is further up north, thank god sales are still happening and I managed to bag a few essential winter goodies! One trend that is forever in style is monochrome, my personal favourite although for today's outfit I have gone for more of a greyscale look but with a lot of black. Leather is a must have this season, nobody ever has enough leather goods! Mixing textures with leather are a must this year, Balmain have incorporated leather into straight lined outfits, contrasting the two opposites of androgyny and the rebellious edge that leather has to make something gorgeous.

I have been on the lookout for a leather biker jacket since my trusty Miss Selfridge one had to be thrown away after being worn too many times. Luckily I stumbled upon this gorgeous jacket in Mango which was cut down half price in the sale. One of my favourite features of this jacket aside from the classic belt wrapped around the bottom, is the asymmetrical zips which gives dual fastening options depending on whether you have styled your look with a thick jumper and need extra room or just a thin shirt.

Now one thing I really struggle with is buying jeans, I try to avoid it as much as possible because of the stress trying to find the perfect fit. However I have found the most amazing pair of ripped skinny jeans in New Look, they are a sort of washed out black colour and are such a nice fit. They are perfect for the winter months paired with a big jumper or duster coat.

I have styled my ripped denim with a lovely ribbed shirt with a high neck line which gives it that winter feel. Since I am obsessing over polo neck jumpers I was transfixed by these high neck shirts which are so simple by could be paired with anything, with these jeans or even with floral joggers in the near coming spring.
